Guide for customers
Getting a new internet connection? Ask these questions first
Two neighbours can get very different internet from the same provider. Before you agree to a connection, a few questions on the first call save you from surprises on the first bill and the first bad evening.

Does the provider really reach my house?
Coverage changes from street to street. Give your full address, house and street included, and ask whether their network already reaches it or whether a new cable has to be laid. A new cable can mean extra cost and a longer wait.
Is it fiber or wireless?
Fiber to the home is usually the most stable choice. Wireless links can work well, but are more affected by distance, obstacles and weather. Ask which one you are getting.
What speed will I actually get?
- Ask for both download and upload speed. Upload matters for video calls.
- Ask whether the speed drops in the evening when everyone is online.
- Ask whether there is a monthly data limit, and what happens when you reach it.
What does it cost in total?
- The monthly package price.
- One-time installation charges.
- Whether the router or ONU is yours or borrowed, and what happens to it if you leave.
How do I pay, and what happens if I am late?
Ask how you will receive your bill, whether you can pay by bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa, and how many days you have after the due date. Ask whether you get a reminder before your package expires.
How do I complain when it stops working?
Ask for the complaint number or app, the support hours, and how quickly a technician usually comes. A provider that tracks complaints properly fixes them faster.
